I did not know him well but it left me with such a sad and dark feeling. This happened years ago and I still haven't wrapped my head around it. He was such a beautiful kid with so much promise. He and his father had a terrible argument and he left the house. No one saw him take one of his father's guns with him. Writing this still makes the hair on my arms stand up. On the other hand, if I were faced with certain illnesses or permanent disabilities I can't guarantee that I wouldn't find a peaceful way to check out early myself. May your friend rest in peace.
